What makes DotCheck different
Most AI checkers interrupt you: leave the feed, upload a file, wait, come back. DotCheck scores images, video frames, and supported-language text live on the page, on social media, search, news, and more of the open web, so you stay in the tab you already opened.

Live as you scroll
Scores appear as content loads, right where you are looking. Prefer to choose what gets scored? Turn off automatic analysis in the extension settings; grey marks stay ready until you click. Models run on our servers, so nothing heavy downloads to your laptop.
Underlines on text
Posts and articles in a supported language get a colored underline in place. More green means more human-like; more red means more AI-like. The lines on this page are a live-style demo: hover any underlined line for a percent. Text scoring supports English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, Italian, German, and Dutch.
Score opacity
Higher AI scores show stronger (more opaque). Lower scores stay faint so the page stays readable. Same idea on image dots. You can turn it off in the extension settings if you want every mark at full strength.

Chrome limits: 30 checks/day signed out; 300/day signed in. Premium adds History, Shares, documents, and a higher daily ceiling.
Honest limits
Use DotCheck as a signal, not a verdict. A score estimates how AI-like something appears. It is not proof of authenticity, and it does not replace your judgment.
What the extension scores today:
- Images and video frames (video from a few sampled frames)
- Text: English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, Italian, German, Dutch; other languages are not scored yet
- Audio is not in the extension yet
What we skip or simplify so browse-time stays fast and fair:
- Small media: images generally need at least about 256px on the short edge (tiny icons, avatars, and interface chrome usually stay unscored). YouTube thumbnails use a similar size limit tuned for that surface.
- Short text: very short posts and comments often stay unscored.
- Playing video: we do not pause a video that is already playing just to analyze it; we use safe frame captures or posters where we can.
Accuracy varies by media type and how the content was made. Some generators and edits are harder than others. Measured model results are on our technical docs page. We do not put unverified accuracy claims on this page.
