Refund and return policy

Last updated: 6 August 2026

This policy explains how cancellations and refunds work for DotCheck paid plans (Premium and Pro). DotCheck is a digital subscription: there is nothing physical to ship back. How you cancel, and how money returns, depends on whether you paid through Stripe on the website or through Google Play Billing in the Android app.

DotCheck is operated by Petr Jaroch, trading as DotCheck. IČO: 03330389. Place of business: Jeníkovice 2, 535 01 Přelouč, Czech Republic. Contact: contact@dotcheck.ai.

1. Cancel anytime

You can cancel a paid subscription at any time. On the website, cancel from Billing on Check (Manage billing or Cancel subscription). In the Android app, manage or cancel through Google Play subscriptions. Cancellation ends access immediately and your plan will not renew.

2. Automatic refund on cancel (Stripe)

When you cancel a Stripe-billed plan from Billing on Check, we automatically refund the latest paid charge for that subscription:

You do not need to email us to start this. At checkout you may consent to immediate access to the digital service; that consent can end the EU statutory 14-day withdrawal right for that purchase. Canceling a Stripe plan still triggers the automatic refund above under this policy.

Bank chargebacks are handled separately. Rare technical failures during refund are fixed manually when needed. This refund covers the latest paid period only: not older charges.

3. Google Play subscriptions

Subscriptions purchased through Google Play Billing in the Android app are managed in Google Play. Cancellations and refunds for those purchases follow Google Play’s rules and Google’s refund processes. We do not run the Stripe automatic refund above for Play-billed charges.

4. How the money returns

Stripe refunds return to your original payment method. Banks and card issuers usually take several business days to show the credit. Google Play refunds return according to Google’s timing and methods.

5. EU consumer rights

Mandatory consumer rights under Czech and EU law that cannot be waived still apply. This policy does not limit those rights. Where statutory withdrawal still applies (for example if you did not consent to early performance), email us within 14 days as described in the Terms.
